The Story of God for VBS, Camps, Home Schooling
Many people
have talked about using the Bible Storying for Kids material for VBS and camps.
This can be easily accomplished and could save a church or camp many dollars in
published materials.
For home
school teaching for children this can save parents many dollars in other
published curricula. An advantage to using Bible storying as the Bible teaching
part of home schooling is this material provides the children with the
foundation of a chronological approach to understanding the Bible, the story of
God. Hands on activities can easily be obtained and included. Numerous
supplemental materials are available via the Internet for Bible story crafts
and other learning activities.
In addition,
using the available fabric panels can enable each child have their own panel
for a long lasting reminder of that they learned.
The VBS or
camp program can use this material as the main Bible teaching program. Covering
just 2 stories a day, each at different times in the program, in one week
the first 12 basic stories can be covered. Part of the craft time could be
completing the fabric panels. Other programming time would be needed for
children in groups to develop and retell the stories.
Adding some
Bible learning games, fun Bible verse learning activities, games and other activities and
almost an entire VBS or camp program develops itself.
